Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long does it take to build a home?

Every project is unique, but generally, the planning and design stage takes about 3 months, followed by a 9-month build cycle. From start to finish, most clients can expect the process to take around a year.

How much will it cost me (per square foot) to build a home?

This is a common question, but the answer varies widely. The cost depends on the type of home (ranch, two-story, slab-on-grade, or walkout), the finishes selected, whether the basement is finished, and other factors like the lot you select and realtor costs.

Because each home is tailored to the client, we provide detailed estimates based on your specific design and selections, rather than a one-size-fits-all price per square foot.

If we purchase a lot in your development, can we work with any builder?

We work with a list of approved builders who meet our quality standards. This ensures that homes within the development are built to a consistent level of craftsmanship and design, which helps protect property values and maintain the community’s overall appeal.

Do you build only in your developments, or can you build on my lot?

While we specialize in our developments, we also build on privately owned lots.

If you already own land or are considering purchasing a lot, we’re happy to discuss options for building your home there.

Who carries the construction loan?

In most cases, clients carry their own construction loans—especially for custom homes. This allows you full control over your selections and financing while ensuring the home reflects your style. It also helps protect the integrity of the process from start to finish.
